Janus International Europe Install First Wireless Bluetooth Access Control System In EuropeMarch 27, 2019
Janus International worked with Green Storage to equip their brand new Swedish self-storage facility with Janus’ cutting edge Nokē Smart Entry System, making it the first of its kind in Europe.
Green Storage are part of the Green Group, a leading Swedish real estate group with over 20 years’ experience in the self-storage market. Their mission is to make it easier to store items in a sustainable way, which they accomplish with the help of digital technology.
As such, they were on a mission to find a keyless, modern end-to-end storage solution and they partnered with Janus International Europe to deliver the first Nokē Smart Entry System in Europe.
The Janus International Europe team worked together to ensure everything about the project went smoothly, from legislative compliance to integration with Green Storage’s existing software systems. Janus International Europe managed the entire project, from the design, manufacture and construction of the site’s self-storage units to the integration and installation of the Nokē Smart Entry System.
Having a dedicated European partner like Janus to deliver state of the art technology made a potentially complex project far easier. The Janus team had a very focused approach to design and project management, which saw the manufacture and installation complete on time and to an exceptional standard.
Janus International Europe were also able to provide an expert, highly experienced Nokē specialist to perform an integral role in the project team, ensuring the new entry system performed perfectly from the get-go on both swing and roller doors. This was Juan Moreno, the Product Manager of Nokē Smart Entry System. He has worked in the industry for over 10 years and has always specialised in Access Control Systems.
Since the facility opened, customers have benefited from managing their unit using their digital device, so there is no longer any need to memorise codes, remember keys etc. and they don’t have to interact with company employees unless they want to.
In the case of needing support, it is only a couple of taps away via a cloud-based app. Automated overlocking and release from anywhere in the world has enabled swift and effective response to customer issues. Anyone not wanting to use their mobile device to manage access can be provided with a key fob.
Managing Director Stefan Nilsson observes, “The team behind Green Storage has many years of experience in self-storage and are fairly hard to impress, but after it was all done and in operation, we were all very impressed by the simplicity and how it all actually works. Given the experience in software development in-house, this really proved to be both time and cost effective.”
