We started with a great idea and tons of enthusiasm.

About 14 years ago, an industry veteran Mr. David Curtis, founded Janus International with a vision of revolutionising the self storage industry by bringing to market the 3rd Generation door system for the self storage industry.

Today, we are the largest self storage manufacturer in the world, producing more than 11,000 self storage doors a week.

At Janus, we believe that creativity starts with viewing the world differently. We are led by our desire to produce great work and our love for self storage construction, design, and exciting possibilities that our wonderful industry has in store for us. Our innovative and durable product range has been used to build over 4 million self-storage units around the world.

Our European manufacturing facility based at Peterlee in the North East of England is capable of swallowing several football pitches.

The plant is state-of-the art and operates with in quality systems assessed to ISO 9001:2015 standard.

We trade right across Europe, the Middle & Far East. In a year we produce hundreds of miles of profiles for partition walls, and more than 11,000 storage unit doors every week worldwide.

Our Management Team

Janus capitalises on the extensive industry experience and vision of these prominent thought leaders, to enable and help customers simplify, transform, and accelerate their business for success.



Colin Jeromson

Colin is the Managing Director of Janus International UK; a position he has held since joining the business.

Colin has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Before joining Janus, Colin spent 10 years with Schindler, the multi-national Swiss Elevator company. In his tenure at Schindler, he fulfilled various executive roles in several European countries.

Colin is a qualified Engineer and holds an MBA from Bolton University (Manchester, England) with various management qualifications from IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland).


Rachel Steed

Rachel is the Finance Director of Janus International UK, the position she has held since joining the business.

Before this Rachel held senior financial roles at Liberata plc, one of the UK’s leading providers of business process services, where she worked for 12 years. Involved in many aspects of the company including the operational integration of contracts and companies both from organic and transactional growth.

Rachel is a fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), one of the UK’s leading global bodies for professional accountants.


Adrian Starling

Adrian is the Sales & Marketing director for Janus International UK, heading the European sales and marketing endeavours.

Prior to joining Janus International, Adrian was the head of operations at Prontaprint one of the UK’s leading business-to-business solution providers for print requirements.

Adrian has also served as a board member of the Self Storage Association UK, where he contributed as a representative for the industry suppliers.

Deborah Finding

Deborah is the HR Director for Janus International Europe Ltd, having joined the business in January 2018.

Previously, Deborah held HR leadership roles in other global businesses, including MATCH Hospitality and The Big Picture, as well as having a background in communications and strategic planning. She specialises in individual, team and organisational development, and is passionate about company culture and strategy.

She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics as well as undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Cambridge. She is CIPD HR qualified, and is also a MBTI Step I and Step II certified practitioner.
